Fukuoka International School shares with you a link below showcasing our Grade 7 history students, along with Mr Van Tol, who were featured for their Learning World Topic on “how history is taught nowadays” along with three other schools. Our grade 7 students prepared an iBook on the Coliseum and this was picked up by Euronews as a great example of how history is taught in today’s world and additionally you can find the students’ book on the iBook’s website.
Fukuoka International School(FIS), founded in 1972, is a private coeducational day international school offering classes from pre-kindergarten through Grade 12. All graduating seniors receive an FIS diploma accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Japanese Ministry of Education as a School Juridical Body “Gakko Hojin.” Since 2007, FIS has been authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization to offer the IB Diploma in Grade 11 and Grade 12. The Global International School year is divided into two semesters, August-January and January-June.
