About The International Baccalaureate
The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) offers three educational programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme(DP) for students aged 3 to 19.These programmes are designed to help students develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world. There are more than 4,690 IB World Schools in over 146 countries with about 100,000 students aged 3 to 19 years old.
Fukuoka International School was authorized to offer the IB Diploma Programme in 2007. FIS is the first school in Kyushu to become an IB World School. IB diploma candidates must complete all requirements in all areas to receive the IB diploma.
FIS was authorized to offer the IB Primary Years Programme in March 2014.
